How to make a hand sanitiser
Most hand sanitisers contain around 70% alcohol. It is advisable to use at least 80% vol vodka to kill germs. You won’t find vodka with a higher alcohol content in a normal shop. The ratio of liquids could be 80% alcohol and 20% water. So, depending on the size of your bottle, you’ll need to fill it almost three-quarters full with vodka and the rest with water. Add a few drops of tea tree oil, which has antiseptic properties that help kill germs. Remember that strong alcohol dries out the skin and you should moisturise your hands frequently to avoid this. A homemade hand cream is best for this.
