In the workshop, we make bookmarks, keyrings, suitcase holders or Christmas decorations.
In the workshop, we use a material resembling a thick sheet of paper (shrinkable plastic), on which we first draw a picture and then put the sheet in the oven for a few minutes. In the oven, the sheet shrinks 6 times smaller and becomes hard and transparent like glass. The drawing of the picture can be linked to a different theme, for example, for Valentine’s Day we draw heart-shaped ornaments, for Estonia’s birthday we draw archaic embroidery patterns, for Mother’s Day we draw flowers and butterflies, and so on. We also talk a bit about glass production and the history of glass.
